Package Overview

Ooty (short for Udhagamandalam) is a resort town in the Western Ghats mountains, in southern India's Tamil Nadu state. Founded as a British Raj summer resort, it retains a working steam railway line. Other reminders of its colonial past include Stone House, a 19th-century residence, and the circa-1829 St. Stephen’s Church. Its 55-acre Government Botanical Garden lies on the slopes of Doddabetta Peak.

Kodaikanal is a hill town in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It’s set in an area of granite cliffs, forested valleys, lakes, waterfalls and grassy hills. At 2,000 meters above sea level, the town centers around man-made, star-shaped Kodaikanal Lake, bordered by evergreen forest. Rowing boats can be hired, and hikers and cyclists follow the 5k Lake Road path around the shore.

Itinerary

  • Day 1

    Arrival & Coimbatore – Ooty (approx 90 Kms/3 Hrs)

    Pickup from arrival and proceed to Ooty, on arrival check in to hotel. After lunch Ooty lake, Botanical Garden. Overnight stay at Ooty.

  • Day 2

    Ooty – Coonoor – Ooty

    Ooty – Coonoor – Ooty (Optional - can take one way joyride - Coonoor to Ooty by Toy Train – Charges Extra) After breakfast Proceed to Coonoor. Coonoor Sightseeing(Sim’s Park, Lam’s Rock, Dolphin Nose and Tea factory) and Doddabetta Peak. Overnight stay at Ooty.

  • Day 3

    Ooty - Kodaikanal (approx 250 kms / 5-6 Hrs)

    After morning breakfast checkout and proceed to Kodaikanal. Check in to hotel on arrival. Evening visit to Cookers walk, Green valley view, and the Lake. Overnight stay at Kodaikanal.

  • Day 4

    Kodaikanal

    After morning breakfast, proceed to sightseeing to visit Pillar’s Rocks Silent Valley View, Berijam lake view, Silver cascade falls. Overnight stay at Kodaikanal.

  • Day 5

    Kodaikanal – Coimbatore (approx 180 Kms/ 3-4 Hrs)

    After breakfast checkout and proceed to Coimbatore airport / railway station to board your train or flight for onward journey.
